For the past 50 years, we have met the discriminating needs — and tastes — of some of the top restauranteurs and seafood grocers in the world. From salting cod following the traditional dry-salting technique to grilled salmon on cedar planks, our long seafaring heritage is a part of every seafood product we offer.

That’s been our promise to our customers since 1971, when our first order of salted cod arrived at our Massachusetts facility from the Gaspé Peninsula in Canada.
This region extends along the St. Lawrence River east to the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Its sunny, dry climate with favorable north westerly trade winds provides ideal conditions for salting cod, a method in which cod is meticulously cut by hand, then mildly salted, drained of water and stretched out on wire-mesh tables to dry in the sun.

Over the past two decades, we have expanded our offerings to reflect the diverse needs of our customers. In addition to offering Gaspé Cured™ Cod, we offer three other popular brands: Cristobal® Salted Cod and Salted Pollock, Buena Ventura® Salted Pollock and BacalaRico® Salted Pollock. All of our products, which are processed in modern-day manufacturing plants using the centuries-old Gaspé tradition of salting fish, meet U.S. HACCP safety regulations.
